I'm not your average massage therapist. I encourage my clients to approach their health in an integrated way. While you can certainly book just a massage if that's what you want, coaching is the piece that grounds the work and brings that post-massage glow into the rest of your life. And who doesn't want that?
A hands on therapy that releases tensions deep within the body through gentle manipulations of the cranioscral structures. It improve whole body-mind health,and is very effective in treating chronic pain. It was created by Dr. John Upledger after years of research at Michigan State University.
A customized massage that integrates all the modalities I practice to best serve you. Most of the work I do is heavily influenced by Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage- lots of long and connected strokes based on the rhythms of the ocean to soothe and heal your body. *probably added in the gumbo too is neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Reiki, CranioSacral Therapy, and Thai stretches. Rest assured, I've studied & practiced so long, I have tools from all over to help you.
Done fully clothed on a futon like mat on the floor. I will use my feet, hands, elbows, and fists to stretch and massage you. It's like a great yoga class (without all the hard work) and a massage all rolled into one.
Prenatal massage techniques ease many of the discomforts of pregnancy, ease the physiological and emotional well-being of the mother and the fetus. It can also reduce the duration of labor in some cases. I use a wonderful system called the Body Cushion that enables most women to safely and comfortably lay face down, which many report feels like a massage unto itself. Women must be in at least their second trimester to receive massage and are encouraged to discuss any concerns with their physician before booking.
